Mason Jenkins is an advocate and spokesperson for bringing back the "Calgary Wave" and tries to embody the attitude of a very good dog. He works as a tattoo artist at a private studio in Calgary. He dedicates almost, if not all, of his fucks to American traditional tattooing. Jenkins is a transgender man, which makes him an excellent inclusivity bingo dab to any event. He shares stories and jokes about his adventures in gender and navigating the world as a retired lesbian. Mason's journey from female to male is like a velvet painting, the story is campy, and welcomed in any grandmother's living room. Velvet paintings  are built on a darkness, but contrast is what makes the highlights brighter, any dog could tell you that.

Mason began tattooing in 2017, under the masterful guidance of Steve Peace at Immaculate Concept.

Mason has also completed 3 years (2023-2026) of working with the masterful Karrie Arthurs of Blackbird Electric Tattoo.

Mason currently works under the guidance of Garret Egles (Radio Block Tattoo/Old Paint Tattoo Salon.)
